Orion Premium Draft beer is a smooth-drinking Okinawan lager. In North America, it’s one of the only mainstream beers that is draft (unpasteurized). It’s also complex for being an international style pale lager. Heavy flavors are a flaw in this style of beer.
Usually, they are refreshing and bland. Orion manages to combine subtle fruity hop character and honeyed toast notes. Bitterness is low and the texture is soft. Ample carbonation makes this Japanese beer very good with food. Think popular izakaya fare like karaage, sushi, Americanized rolls, black cod, saba shiokawa, ramen, and more.
