By submitting content to The Japanese Bar, the contributor agrees to these Contributions Terms and Conditions which are in addition to our overall Terms and Conditions policies.
Content refers to visual (photos, graphic designs, videos, artwork) and written media. Author is defined as the contributor of content.
The Japanese Bar reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time without outside consent.
Contributing content does not guarantee its placement on The Japanese Bar. All Author contributions are volitional and free of charge unless agreed upon in advance in writing by both Author and The Japanese Bar.
The Japanese Bar has the right to edit, modify, and update content for any reason. Attribution to the original Author will always be maintained. The Japanese Bar may expand upon contributed written content, in which case the contributing Author may be listed as Coauthor.
Written content published via contribution becomes property of The Japanese Bar and may not be used on other web or print publications.
All content can be used by The Japanese Bar for other web content and marketing, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TitTok, YouTube, email, books and print publications, and The Japanese Bar Shop.
The Japanese Bar cannot use contributed content in merchandise or other products without the Author’s consent.
Author may include branding info and social media handles within meta information. Nofollow links are also permitted
Author may include one dofollow link within written content. Author can request that more links be included or that link addresses change. However, updates to links are at the sole discretion of The Japanese Bar.
Author-compensated affiliate links are not allowed without the consent of The Japanese Bar.
Links must fit The Japanese Bar Terms of Service agreement, and cannot point to websites with unlawful, unethical, dubious, or malicious content. Link approval is always subject to change and at the discretion of The Japanese Bar. Due to the ever-changing environment of the internet, The Japanese Bar is not responsible for links that point to unlawful, unethical, dubious, or malicious content. However, steps will always be taken to remove these links.
