Greater Amberjack – Kampachi

Greater amberjack, which is also known as kampachi and kanpachi, is the largest member of the jack family.

This large predatory fish lives in temperate, subtropical, and tropical seas around the world.

Kanpachi makes delicious sashimi and nigiri. It’s often confused with yellowtail or hamachi. These two fish are close relatives.
