The Chita Distillery is a lesser-known workhorse for Suntory whisky. It’s continuous column stills produce grain whisky for various blends from the company including Hibiki, Kakubin, and Suntory Toki. More recently, a Single Grain whisky has been made available.
The Chita Single Grain whisky is soft, light, and semi-sweet. Aromatics are mild. Tasting notes include dried flowers, honeysuckle, honey, vanilla, and butterscotch.
