The 40 Best Sake Brands

When I first started drinking sake, I was overwhelmed by the variety of brands and flavor profiles. Finding sake that I liked was a challenge.

But after over a decade of selling, tasting, and studying sake, this became second nature.

My newest page is all about helping you quickly find what you like while discovering famous sake brands to explore.

Most of these are classics and/or are relatively easy to find. But I do sprinkle in some rare or cult sake labels, just to keep things interesting.

Natto vs COVID-19

It turns out that that there’s something that dislikes natto more than I do. And surprisingly, it’s the coronavirus.

A new study has revealed that natto has some impressive anti-viral properties. And an extract derived from it eliminated the ability of the coronavirus to infect cells.

Further studies are needed to hone in on what’s happening here. Check out this post for more info on how natto might battle the pandemic.

Japanese Whisky & the Tokyo Olympics

The Tokyo Olympics was supposed to be a global celebration of Japanese culture and its companies. And many Japanese whisky brands were gearing up to participate in the publicity.

But Covid had other plans, of course.
